Recorded at the Foundry Music Lab in Glasgow before the March 2020 Coronavirus Lockdown hit, this is the much anticipated sequel album to Journey Maker which was released last year.

Working alongside engineer Sandy Jones, Eilidh again co-produced this album, developing the ideas at home and bringing them to fruition at the studio with Scottish musicians Tommy Chambers (piano), Graeme Duffin (electric guitar), Seonaid Aitken (violin) and of course Sandy Jones (everything else!).

A timely release, Safe Place reveals the destination to which Eilidh was journeying towards in her previous album…a place of peace in her mind and heart, which had eluded her for years. Each of the 12 vibrant tracks demonstrate Eilidh’s signature pure vocals and her strength as a songwriter to turn difficult experiences into uplifting songs which everyone can relate to.

What they're saying...

Her vocals wrap around you like a blanket in winter...she sounds better than ever.”

— Maverick Magazine

Eilidh shows a real talent for capturing a hook and melody to match her beautiful vocals and engaging words.”

— Lonesome Highway

This is music made by a person who has been broken and remade, not someone who is merely trying to write songs.”

— Ron Block

Eilidh (pronounced EYElee) is a warm, engaging singer songwriter of startling clarity.  With songs that cut straight to the heart, delightfully accurate guitar playing, and crystal clear vocals, Eilidh immediately connects with audiences everywhere.

Having released 4 studio albums and an EP to date, Eilidh (from Derry, N. Ireland) is a hard-working independent artist who is driven by her desire to connect with people.  This desire has seen her perform regularly across Northern Ireland and at festivals such as SxSW in Austin TX (3 times), Folk Alliance in Memphis TN, and Celtic Connections in Glasgow, Scotland.

Over the years she has worked with established artists in the folk scene both in the studio and on stage, most notably with Beth Nielsen Chapman, Ron Block and Yvonne Lyon.  Regularly appearing on TV and radio, Eilidh has taken part in many live broadcasts and programmes for BBC NI and her music is well supported in radio stations across the UK and Ireland.

Her upcoming new album, Safe Place, is being released on Friday 7th August 2020.
