Recorded at the Foundry Music Lab in Glasgow before the Coronavirus Lockdown hit, this is the much anticipated sequel album to Journey Maker which was released last year.
Working alongside engineer Sandy Jones, Eilidh again co-produced this album, developing the ideas at home and bringing them to fruition at the studio with Scottish musicians Tommy Chambers (piano), Graeme Duffin (electric guitar), Seonaid Aitken (violin) and of course Sandy Jones (everything else!).
A timely release, Safe Place reveals the destination to which Eilidh was journeying towards in her previous album…a place of peace in her mind and heart, which had eluded her for years. Each of the 12 vibrant tracks demonstrate Eilidh’s signature pure vocals and her strength as a songwriter to turn difficult experiences into uplifting songs which everyone can relate to.
